May: 9 business licenses issued in Anchor Point

There were 9 business licenses issued in Anchor Point during May, according to Alaska’s Department of Commerce.

More than 99% of Alaska’s businesses are considered small, with more than 52% of Alaska’s employees working for a small business, according to the U.S Small Business Administration.

A study by Civic Economics found $100 spent at a locally-owned business puts $68 back into the local economy while the total is just $43 for non-local businesses.
