Test Expectations: How many students met or exceeded science MCAS expectations in Center School in 2023-24 school year?

Of the 88 students of Center School who took part in the science portion of the MCAS in the 2023-24 school year, 51 met the testing standard (58%), while 10 exceeded expectations (11.4%), according to the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.

The students' overall success rate in the subject grew by 13.9% in the 2023-24 school year from the previous school year.

Nashoba Regional School District, which Center School is part of, reached an average proficiency rate of 62.6% in science during the 2023-24 school year.

Meanwhile, 56.8% of Center School students hit the ELA benchmarks, and 62.7% were considered proficient in math.
