53.8% of Monomoy Regional High School students met or exceeded ELA MCAS expectations in 2023-24 school year

Of the 286 students of Monomoy Regional High School who took part in the ELA portion of the MCAS in the 2023-24 school year, 122 met the testing standard (42.7%), while 32 exceeded expectations (11.2%), according to the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.

The students' overall success rate in the subject dropped by 3.2% in the 2023-24 school year from the previous school year.

Monomoy Regional School District, which Monomoy Regional High School is part of, reached an average proficiency rate of 47.6% in ELA during the 2023-24 school year.

Meanwhile, 46.7% of Monomoy Regional High School students hit the math benchmarks, and 53.9% were considered proficient in science.

At the time, 464,640 students took the ELA test in Massachusetts, with 194,364 students passing (41.8%) — 2.9% less than the year before.
