Test Expectations: How many students met or exceeded science MCAS expectations in Sheffield Elementary School in 2023-24 school year?

Of the 53 students of Sheffield Elementary School who took part in the science portion of the MCAS in the 2023-24 school year, 11 met the testing standard (20.8%), while one exceeded expectations (1.9%), according to the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.

The students' overall success rate in the subject dropped by 2% in the 2023-24 school year from the previous school year.

Gill-Montague Regional School District, which Sheffield Elementary School is part of, reached an average proficiency rate of 28.4% in science during the 2023-24 school year.
