Test Expectations: How many students met or exceeded math MCAS expectations in Doherty Memorial High School in 2023-24 school year?

Of the 327 students of Doherty Memorial High School who took part in the math portion of the MCAS in the 2023-24 school year, 86 met the testing standard (26.3%), while 27 exceeded expectations (8.3%), according to the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.

The students' overall success rate in the subject grew by 1.6% in the 2023-24 school year from the previous school year.

Worcester Public Schools District, which Doherty Memorial High School is part of, reached an average proficiency rate of 23.8% in math during the 2023-24 school year.

Meanwhile, 49.2% of Doherty Memorial High School students hit the ELA benchmarks, and 39.2% were considered proficient in science.

At the time, 464,292 students took the math test in Massachusetts, with 195,185 students passing (42%) — unchanged from the year before.
