Of the 448 students of Walter S. Parker Middle School who took part in the math portion of the MCAS in the 2023-24 school year, 229 met the testing standard (51.1%), while 56 exceeded expectations (12.5%), according to the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.

The students' overall success rate in the subject grew by 20.3% in the 2023-24 school year from the previous school year.

Reading Public Schools District, which Walter S. Parker Middle School is part of, reached an average proficiency rate of 64.1% in math during the 2023-24 school year.
