Of the 25 students of Orleans Elementary School who took part in the science portion of the MCAS in the 2023-24 school year, 18 met the testing standard (72%), while three exceeded expectations (12%), according to the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.

The students' overall success rate in the subject grew by 13% in the 2023-24 school year from the previous school year.

Nauset Public Schools District, which Orleans Elementary School is part of, reached an average proficiency rate of 84% in science during the 2023-24 school year.
