Did North Attleboro High School students succeed or flounder in their 2023-24 math tests?

Of the 225 students of North Attleboro High School who took part in the math portion of the MCAS in the 2023-24 school year, 101 met the testing standard (44.9%), while 20 exceeded expectations (8.9%), according to the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.

The students' overall success rate in the subject dropped by 5.7% in the 2023-24 school year from the previous school year.

North Attleborough Public Schools District, which North Attleboro High School is part of, reached an average proficiency rate of 47.1% in math during the 2023-24 school year.

Meanwhile, 55.9% of North Attleboro High School students hit the ELA benchmarks, and 62.8% were considered proficient in science.

At the time, 464,292 students took the math test in Massachusetts, with 195,185 students passing (42%) — unchanged from the year before.
