40.2% of Leominster High School students met or exceeded math MCAS expectations in 2023-24 school year

Of the 249 students of Leominster High School who took part in the math portion of the MCAS in the 2023-24 school year, 87 met the testing standard (34.9%), while 13 exceeded expectations (5.2%), according to the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.

The students' overall success rate in the subject grew by 2.3% in the 2023-24 school year from the previous school year.

Leominster Public Schools District, which Leominster High School is part of, reached an average proficiency rate of 35.2% in math during the 2023-24 school year.

Meanwhile, 51.4% of Leominster High School students hit the ELA benchmarks, and 59.8% were considered proficient in science.

At the time, 464,292 students took the math test in Massachusetts, with 195,185 students passing (42%) — unchanged from the year before.
