44.7% of Beeman Memorial School students met or exceeded science MCAS expectations in 2023-24 school year

Of the 47 students of Beeman Memorial School who took part in the science portion of the MCAS in the 2023-24 school year, 20 met the testing standard (42.6%), while one exceeded expectations (2.1%), according to the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.

The students' overall success rate in the subject grew by 28.9% in the 2023-24 school year from the previous school year.

Gloucester Public Schools District, which Beeman Memorial School is part of, reached an average proficiency rate of 40.2% in science during the 2023-24 school year.

Meanwhile, 25% of Beeman Memorial School students hit the ELA benchmarks, and 26.4% were considered proficient in math.
