Kennedy-Longfellow School: How many students met or exceeded math MCAS expectations in 2023-24 school year?

Of the 83 students of Kennedy-Longfellow School who took part in the math portion of the MCAS in the 2023-24 school year, 22 met the testing standard (26.5%), while two exceeded expectations (2.4%), according to the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.

The students' overall success rate in the subject dropped by 1.5% in the 2023-24 school year from the previous school year.

Cambridge Public Schools District, which Kennedy-Longfellow School is part of, reached an average proficiency rate of 54.7% in math during the 2023-24 school year.

Meanwhile, 17.1% of Kennedy-Longfellow School students hit the ELA benchmarks, and 14.8% were considered proficient in science.

At the time, 464,292 students took the math test in Massachusetts, with 195,185 students passing (42%) — unchanged from the year before.
