Did Ralph D. Butler School students succeed or flounder in their 2023-24 science tests?

Of the 54 students of Ralph D. Butler School who took part in the science portion of the MCAS in the 2023-24 school year, 15 met the testing standard (27.8%), while four exceeded expectations (7.4%), according to the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.

The students' overall success rate in the subject grew by 3.1% in the 2023-24 school year from the previous school year.

Avon Public Schools District, which Ralph D. Butler School is part of, reached an average proficiency rate of 24.6% in science during the 2023-24 school year.

Meanwhile, 35.1% of Ralph D. Butler School students hit the ELA benchmarks, and 35.1% were considered proficient in math.
