10,612 crimes against property handled by Richland County Sheriff's Office officers in 2022

Richland County Sheriff's Office law enforcement officers grappled with 10,612 crimes against property in 2022, according to the National Incident-Based Reporting System (NIBRS).

This translates to an average of 29 offenses per day in 2022.

Crimes against property include wire frauds, shopliftings, thefts from coin-operated machines or devices, welfare frauds, thefts from buildings, and credit card and ATM frauds.

Of all types of crime tracked by the NIBRS, thefts from motor vehicles were the most common crime handled by the Richland County Sheriff's Office office.
