Alhambra-based health care company Apollo Medical Holdings Inc (AMEH:NAQ) sees value fall 39.6% in Q2

Value in health care stocks rose 15.5 percent in the second quarter of 2023 from the previous quarter.

The strongest performing health care company in California was Kintara Therapeutics Inc (KTRA:NAQ), sitting 10,126.3 percent higher to sell at $4.03.

Thermogenesis Holdings Inc (THMO:NAQ) fared the worst among California companies, suffering a 92.6 percent drop to $1.28.

Among Alhambra companies, Apollo Medical Holdings Inc (AMEH:NAQ) saw the biggest fall in value of 39.6 percent in the second quarter of 2023.

The Health Care sector was the quarter’s best-performing sector on the market. The market is divided into 11 different sectors.

Telecommunications was the worst-performing sector.

Healthcare and technology stocks are viewed as the safest bets for long-term gains.

Besty Kuekcer with Benzinga.com said healthcare-related stocks, such as hospital conglomerates and insurance companies, have weathered numerous economic crises and still make a profit, suggesting that they are generally a stable investment.

While technology stocks can be more risky, given the boom-bust nature of new tech companies, Kuecker recommended a diverse portfolio of tech companies to strike it big when companies succeed or sell to other larger companies.

For short-term investments, Kuecker recommended “consumer discretionary” stocks, which are sensitive to economic changes but can rise greatly on the back of a strong economy.
