Gender breakdown at Cornell University in 2020

In 2020, Cornell University's student body was comprised of 10,865 men and 12,755 women students, according to the latest disclosure from the National Center for Education Statistics.

The number of male and female students both shrank by 2% from the previous year, compared to the gender breakdown from the year before.

Cornell University ranked third out of 404 schools on the New York safety list, with 569 on-campus offenses reported in 2020.

About 20.2 million students in the United States were enrolled for undergraduate degrees during the academic year 2021–2022. There were 21 million undergraduate students registered in classes last year, which was a decline of nearly 800,000 students.

Women have received college degrees at a higher rate than men since the 1990s. Men's enrolment rates, particularly for Black men, have generally declined significantly in recent years.
